For hero images, 1600–1920px wide is common. For content images, 800–1280px wide with JPG/WebP quality 70–85 balances quality and speed.
Resize to the display width you need, then export to JPG/WebP with quality 70–85. Use PNG only when you need transparency or crisp UI assets.
Fit keeps the whole image inside the box. Cover fills the box (cropping excess). Pad keeps the whole image and adds padding using the selected color.
JPG doesn’t support transparency. WebP and PNG both do. Choose WebP/PNG when you need transparent backgrounds.
