How to Interpret Crypto Market Indicators
Read trend, momentum, volatility, and support or resistance signals without treating them as guaranteed predictions.
Define the indicator first
Dominance usually compares one asset's market capitalization with a defined crypto-market total. Fear-and-greed indexes combine selected market signals into a sentiment score. Their providers, inputs, and formulas can differ.
Avoid single-number conclusions
Dominance can change because the leading asset moves, the rest of the market moves, or supply estimates change. Sentiment can remain extreme and does not specify timing. Neither indicator proves that price must reverse or continue.
Use indicators as context
Check source, timestamp, methodology, liquidity, and broader market conditions. Never treat an indicator or calculator as investment advice. Crypto assets can be highly volatile, and losses may exceed what a simple scenario suggests.
